You win some, you lose some. That’s what life is all about.
The moment I got to school, all I heard was “Anong oras ipopost yung results?” (“What time will the results be posted?”) Up until recess time…up until lunch time. I didn’t give my sister my reference number cos I wanted to know for myself. My bestfriends, Anne and Mara, had asked their sister and mom to do it for her as well as some of my friends asked their siblings to do it for them. So I thought of calling my sister up. I went to the rest room and sat on the counter.
Me: Ate, can you check if I passed La Salle. Ask yaya to look for the pink envelope with all my permits. It’s somewhere around the room.
Ate: Wait…..yaya, nasa loob yata ng box…rada rada….wala naman eh.…wait. Oh ayan!
Me: *shaking voice* Ate make it fast na!!! Everyone’s crying and jumping and I’m here waiting for something to happen!
Ate: Oh here na, how do you do this?
Me: *explains*
Ate: Wait, it’s loading. (IMAGINE THE SUSPENSE!!!!!!!)
Me: Oh what na? !@#$ this %^&!!
Ate: Hala!!!!
Me: WHAT?!
Ate: You qualified!!!!!!!!!!
Me: OMG I DID?! *tears start to fall* !@#$ yes!!!!!!!!!! *puts the phone down and hugs everyone in the restroom*
After the hugging/tear fest, I called up my dad’s office, my mom and my sisters. I can still remember how relieved I felt up when I heard that I qualified.
I’ve settled my life for the next for years, but like what I said, I still am hoping and praying that I pass UP and become an iskolar ng bayan :) I didn’t pass Ateneo though. I felt bad but I guess it wasn’t for me. To everyone else who passed La Salle and Ateneo, congratulations! :)
Peace and much love,
Sofia ♡
At it’s worst
I’ve been pre-occupied with so much stuff lately so I haven’t been able to post anything at all. 2012’s been good to me so far and there’s so much I want to tell all of you :)
The annual batch cheering competition is coming up (less than a week…go Seniors!) which means I’ll be even busier with training plus we’re finalizing the details for our yearbook. As a matter of fact, I’ll be meeting up with the publisher together with our EIC and one of the editors as well. I can’t wait for it to be released! *hihihihi*
I’ll be posting so much when I have time. Watch out for:
- BEST OF 2011 - The most memorable things that happened to me last year. I just feel like sharing ‘em with you :)
- Product reviews - Cos I’ve been spending on so much stuff….make-up in particular.
- 2012 trends (…..here goes my fashion blogger dreams.)
- Sto. Nino 2012 - The best time of the year in Beda! :) So much festivities and events in school.
- and everything else under the sun….that are worth blogging about.
I also need your opinion on what camera I should get for my blog pictures. Any suggestion? TA me!!! :) I hope you all are doing good!
Peace and much love,
Sofia ♡
Back to school blues
So, it’s back to normal again tomorrow. I’m not entirely sure if I should be happy or sad because both have their pros and cons.
Everything’s just happening too fast, can’t we slow down? Christmas break came by in a blink of an eye. We’re less than halfway through the year, next thing I know it’s Sto. Nino already. Then prom. Then graduation practices and clearance signing. Then graduation. Then gradball. NO, EASY THERE.
I’m so scared for college entrance exam results (particularly UPCAT, ACET, DLSUCET and the CSB exam). It’s stressing the crap out of my soul. Somebody please tell me when the results are coming out?
I’ll be going home late starting tomorrow because of after-class trainings, excited cos I’ll be burning all of what I had over the holiday break. Yearbook duties are on my list as well, so good luck to me and my fellow-editors. I still have to finish the layout. Huhuhu To our batchmates who haven’t passed their forms, please please please do pass them already.
Hello eyebags (well, you never went away), 6am alarm, piles of schoolwork to be done and shitloads of stress everywhere. But who am I to complain. So let’s just get these over with.
I’m going to force myself to sleep because I don’t want to be late and sign admission slips ever again. I will read LA Candy’s last chapters again until I fall asleep! :)
Family time is always the best time
My family and I went out for lunch in Lili, Hyatt on the first day of 2012.

Our silly boonds being his usual kulit self :)

The girls of the family

And the men of our lives :)
We seldom are complete, so we make the most of the time we have when we are. My brother and brother-in-law were both sick so we went home afterwards. How did you spend the first day of 2012? :)
♡, Sofia
Because 2012’s lucky color is orange, and this is the only orange piece I found in my closet.
Perfect for such a sunny chill day with my family :)
The red light of the sun is slowly descending
Spent my afternoon with my two sisters and our dad in the Fort. We were supposed to get our hands on pairs of Dr. Martens but they didn’t have stocks of the classic high-cut ones. Will wait until January of next year for the black ones and I am very stoked for their Spring|Summer collection out on March :)
We had late lunch and early dinner in Sentro. Man I missed the kesong puti balls and the fried suman and mangoes. Makes me want to go back and order again! Hahaha hello holiday fats!

My youngest sister, Jennifer and my older sister, Ate Sam

Our baby boy, Robin :)

Finally, new books for me! Went shopping in Fullybooked hihihi haven’t gone book shopping in so long.
(L-R Teen Vogue Handbook, Rage by Julie Anne Peters, Sugar and Spice by Lauren Conrad)
Two days ‘til 2012. Are you ready for a fresh new start? :)
♡, Sofia
Good friends, great fun
We had our very first barkada year-ender party in my place last night! This was, by far, the funnest and most crowded party we ever had. Although we weren’t complete, I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed :)

We went to the court and lit up a few fountains and some firecrackers until the village guard told us we can’t. Hahaha!

Last ones standing: BF people! The usuals :)
Ended up jamming and playing the guitar while downing the last few bottles left.
For a party planned a day before, everything went well. I had so much fun with the gang! I can’t wait for our next party :)
